Gilani greets Erdagon on winning referendum


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani conversed with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdagon over the telephone and congratulated him on victory in the referendum held on Sunday. He said that the results of referendum show the confidence of Turkish people over the dynamic leadership and pro-people policies of Erdagon. The PM said that the country welcomes and appreciates the intention of Prime Minister Erdagon to visit the flood-affected areas of Pakistan in the near future to express solidarity and support with the people. The Turkish premier appreciated the country’s facilitation and assured that Pakistan – Turkey’s bilateral relations would progress and his government would take concrete steps to further expand economic cooperation and trade between the two countries. app
